Hi

I wanted to ask everyone's opinion; what would be a good product to use for clay lube as well as for wiping down a car between washes, that comes in a gallon container? I currently am using Meg's quik detailer but it is a small bottle and I am going through a 16 oz. bottle in no time flat. At $5.00+ a bottle that is adding up on me, that is why I am interested in something that works as well and comes in larger sizes.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

I use FK 425 that is cut 50% with distilled h20. It comes in gallon size. You could also go with DP Final Gloss which is also available in the gallon.

If you don't feel like mixing Poorboys Spray & Wipe is great. I use it for clay lube and to clean the car up.

DP 4-in-1 or ONR. I use ONR, but would like to try some 4-in1. ONR can be used as QD, clay lube, and of course, no-rinse wash.

I use the 4n1 and would like to try the ONR. Always mix with distilled H2O. :righton:

I also vote for ONR. Recently discovered that product and was really amazed by it.

DP 4 in 1=Clay lube or QD depending on dilution ratios.

Is soft water fine? (salt-filtered in the house)

Or reverse osmosis filtered water?

Or is distilled still the best choice?

I wouldn't use the tap. Since you're only making a bottle or so at a time, just pick up a bottle of water at the grocery store. Most bottled water is either distilled or reverse osmosis filtered.
