Well let me start out by saying that this was a JOB! This 2001 Mazda Millenium had been neglected inside and out. This belongs to one of my co-workers and he had seen the job I had done on several other co-workers vehicles so he asked me if I could do anything for his. He was planning on having it painted because the paint looked so dull and lifeless but thought he could save a good deal of money if I could make it shine again. I will preface this by saying that a lot of my other co-workers thought this car was a lost cause. Well I was up to the challenge and this car turned out incredible, in fact the first words he said when I took it to him at work was "Wow you just saved me $2000". This was a full detail inside and out. There are a lot of pics because I was so pleased with the results from where it was to what it became. Sort of Ugly Duckling to Black Beauty! Here is what I did:

1. Cleaned the wheels with DP gel wheel cleaner and Black Shmitt. Cleaned the wheel wells with Megs APC.

2. Loaded up the foam gun with my newly arrived DP Xtreme Foam auto shampoo and hand washed with White/Yellow Shmitt and a rinse bucket. Used Poorboy's Bug Squash diluted 2:1 on the bugs and tar. Rinsed and dried with guzzler and leaf blower. Cleaned all door jambs with DP Waterless Auto Wash.

3. Sprayed the wheel wells with Stoners More Shine. Glazed the wheels with DP wheel glaze and buffed off with Mother's mini Powerball. Then dressed the tires with DP Gloss Tire Gel.

4. Next I moved to the interior and what a job it was. I started out vacuuming everything then cleaned everything with DP Total Interior Cleaner and Megs APC @ 10:1. I had to use my PC with my new green aqua brush on floormats and carpet and man did it do a magnificent job paired with the Megs APC. I worked and worked on the leather seats to get them from a dingy gray back to the bright light gray they were originally. Once clean I treated them with Wolfgang Leather Conditioner.

5. After the interior it was time to move onto paint. I used XMT 3 with my PC and LC orange pad (in fact I used 2 orange pads) on the entire car. I then used XMT 360 (I love this stuff) with LC gray pad. A real big thanks to Dust2Glory for his tip on using the 360 on some of the trim because I did it on this car and it turned out beautifully plus saved me a step. Next I put on Pinnacle Sauveran with blue pad and wow the Mazda was really black again, with an awesome deep wet shine! Everything was buffed off by hand with Cobra Microfibers.

6. Finally I cleaned all the glass with Stoner's Invisible Glass.

Well here are some before pics:

What a turn around Wolf. How long did it take you and did you use Sourveran paste or liquid?

You know I really love it when a customer is blown away by a detail I have done and they make some good comments, but it really doesn't compare to the praise here. I guess that's because I know you all really know what goes into making a car look like that and you really really appreciate when a car looks good after a detail.

Rsurfer it took me about 5 hours and I used Sauveran Paste. I haven't tried Sauveran liquid but I have heard so many good things about it that it very well may be in my next order.

Very nice results, the interior looks great...man I love those stripes on the carpet. The paint is wicked, the reflection of the clouds is very nice.

I enjoyed the write up too, very informative.

Thanks for sharing, good job.

FANTASTIC TURNAROUND! It's always fun to see a customer's eye light up on a completed detail. I think a lot of times it renews their own outlook on life..make them brighter!

Cool Work There Sir!
