Any tips on cleaning black plastic trim, like on a Ford Escape. The whole bottom is black. I have tried Black WOW and some other products and it looks OK after I do it, the next day it look like crap again. I have hears to use peanut butter or oil with a tooth brush...Any other suggestions?

Look, there's two things going on. One is staining from polishes or waxes, the other is UV fade or chemical fade.

If you have staining, then use an All Purpose Cleaner and a gentle brush and clean the stuff off.

If it's UV fade, you're going to need a restoring product, either a coating like Carpro DLux, or something like Ultima Tire and Trim Guard or Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant, which should be more durable than Black Wow.

I recommend CarPro DLux, have it on all exposed plastic trim on my vehicles. Not permanent but long lasting, they claim it is about 1 year.

LOVE Ultima tire and trim guard. Brings the color back and doesn't run in the rain. Lasts a long time and a little goes a long way so you will have PLENTY!!!

I've used duragloss 271 and 253 both with great results.

I will 2nd the 253. 253 dries hard and does not run. With that said I have used DG 271 to help clean up oxidation then topped the 271 with 253 which deepened the black and sealed the plastic.
