A friend asked me how much I wanted to detail his boat? It's got light oxidation and he wants it waxed before it's shrink wrapped for winter. I know most go by the foot, and I looked at rates in my area and ended up telling him $20/ft. When you guys quote like this, is this just for the hull or do you do interiors as well?
Boat is a 25' Sea Ray cuddy cabin if it helps.

Normally when I quote a boat that size we would include everything. Cushions, metal, hatches etc.
A 25' cuddy cabin, you should be able to finish in a day.

Sometimes half of my forum work is just remembering where all the gold nuggets are and then dredging them up instead of re-inventing the wheel...
As to your questions... here's a related thread worthy of reading...

To help this guy out, I asked my good friend Paul aka Sailfish, also the guy that flew to Nebraska to help me with the 1969 AMX Wetsand, Cut and Buff project (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/show-car-garage-how-videos/58319-1969-amx-wetsanding-videos-nebraska-help-heartland-project.html), (talk about passion), to chime in and he did so in post # 11
Here's Paul machine sanding fresh paint...

Lots of helpful info in the above thread...

Thanks Mike for that link. I was searching "boat pricing" so that wasn't coming up.
So I originally quoted $20 a foot and realized that might be more appropriate for a multi step buff out. I changed my price to $14/ft and will go with the Marine31 heavy cut cleaner wax. Doing this job would give me an excuse to buy a rotary!!
