Latex paint on carpet and plastic

Parents came up this weekend and brought some paint supplies with them. One of the cans wasn't sealed and now there is paint on plastic trim and carpeted areas. Luckily this is latex so I'm hoping it will peel off the plastic and I plan to use Folex and my LGM on the carpet (removed from the vehicle) but are there any insights that can be shared before I give this a go?
