Hey everyone! Happy Friday! So for fathers day i'm detailing my GF's dads Silver 06 350z vert...my question is...should i just xmt 360 the whole car then top with souverain, or should i use xmt 2 on the whole car then do a layer of xmt glaze, then do the souverain...i'm just used to doing old cars with worn paint and the Z is in really nice shape...i'm sure there are swirls, but its a silver car so...anyone with advice for the best possible outcome...oh, and i'm using a PC and i have every pad known to man...lol thanks
Oh...and i've never done a silver car, so i really don't know what to expect...can't be harder than the black cars i've been doing...could it?

I guess i can be of some help :)

350z are actually a dream to detal, no sharp curves and turns...just big flat panels with gentle lines everywhere....xmt 360 should take care of the entire car...especially since it is silver....i would recommend the blue edge or white lc pad to start on a test panel...if that doesnt get it done step up to a green pad or orange pad....the clear is not too tough on a Z...make sure to cover up the convertible top or retract into the car as polish is a pain to get out of it...i usually retract the top when polishing and tent the car cockpit over with a saran wrap shield....overall very quick car to do as there is no roof to worry about and the car is small to begin with...

I did 360 on my wife's silver corolla and it turned out awesome!!! Do you have any type of straight sealant?

unofrtunately i don't have a straight sealant...i have souverain wax and the crystal mist...do i need a sealant? I assumed i would start sealing cars i worked on for my winter protection...

I am going to do a XMT 360 on my sister in laws Accord this afternoon. What's the sealant quality of the XMT 360? I mean, should I top the 360 with some Wolfgang DGPS, which I have on hand. Or will the 360 seal be good enough? It's a white Accord so it's not really a big deal, I am just doing it to practice my PC skills. I plan on doing a Pinnacle Souv wax on wax off at tomorrow after a 12 hour cure. I want to see this stuff in action on a white car.

I'd like to know this too...is it worth putting on another sealant after the 360?

it definitely helps to top xmt 360...AIO products have to take a little to give a little with each property that they have...

my father is the CS manager for the local Nissan dealer .. next to his desk is always a decked out 350Z. Last time I visited I wiped it down with FK425. I wish I still had the pics, everyone walking in noticed and had to touch it. Can you imagine if I carried some SSII Paste with me !
