:iagree:

V7 does a great job most of the time, not all fired up excited bent out of shame over Black Light. Glossworkz Glaze is a lot better for me.

Top it off with some Pete's 53 or 50/50 and you'll really be a happy camper.

And to those that say BL is over rated:

I have to disagree that Blacklight is over rated.

And Todd Cooperider at Esoteric Detail gives it two thumbs up and that man is a genius.

Just visit his website.

idk if it is "over rated"... it does its job.

I use it from time to time, and I have never had any complaints. It looks good on most any color despite being marketed for dark cars in particular.

I enjoy V7 as a product to use after each wash - it adds noticeable slickness to the paint and leaves a nice glossy finish.

This car just left my place yesterday and was finished with BL and topped with Pete's 53... again, no complaints... looks great. Does it look any better than say Menz PL topped with Pete's 53? I don't think I would be able to tell. I do appreciate the ease of use that Black Light brings, but then again many other products are also simple and effective.

When it's all said and done... I'm not sure I will restock BL when my current bottle runs out. There are just a lot more products out there that I want to try.

I have used blacklight and v07 combo in the past. It works well but doesnt last very long IMO. I am now using Gtechniq's C1 and EXO and the look, feel, and durability seem to blow blacklight/V07 out of the water. (Yes I know they arent the same thing)

I was a huge BL, V7 guys at one time but I've found that some if the newer coatings really have come a long way in terms of looking great.

If you can apply a coating that lasts years instead of weeks and have it looking crazy good, its a no brainier in my opinion to migrate to a coating.

I use CQUK edition and topped with reload its really a head turner. The car practically washes itself when water hits it.

In its hay day, BL was the most coolest product I had discovered several years ago. It still is to a point but there are far better options today in my opinion.

I wanted to try these products to see the effect on my mildly defected paint. My car is only a year old and I havn't machine polished it yet. Thats next! For now I can live with the few imperfections that I do have and BL was far better at masking the slight imperfections than my previous glaze..... by a mile.

I have considered Opti coat but part of me loves the process of claying and polishing then finishing with a traditional LSP.

I like BL and V7 but I have a real hard time considering V7 an actual sealant. I really think of it as just a real good quick detail spray with a bit of extra longevity than other quick detailers. I use BL and V7 on my black wheels and the combo does actually make a noticeable difference in the look of the wheels and helps keep dust and dirt buildup down better than other things I've tried on them. The car isn't daily driven so I can't speak for durability of the combo on the wheels but I'm concerned with looks more than durability and the combo delivers in that department.
