I'll take some pics also ... Ha I used peanut butter once ... Accidentally got crunch and all the nuts ended up in the engine of my Benz ... Smelt like roasted peanuts for a month

Don't use the peanut butter, it's not a permanent fix.

OK, what do you recommend for a permanent fix?

Cleaning it with APC as I already suggested. I know there's no talking to you peanut butter guys, I've had this argument before. Putting peanut butter on it is just like going over it with Black Wow, you're just hiding it under oil.

Yeah, I guess, I've never used that on trim, check it first on an inconspicuous spot.

I've used it on trim with good results... I guess I'll take a brush to the spots that won't come off

Megs #39 Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner, and the Vinyl & Leather Scrub Brush have never let me down.

Meguiars #39 Professional Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner, clean vinyl, meguiars interior cleaner (http://www.autogeek.net/meguiars-39-vinyl-cleaner.html)
Vinyl & Leather Scrub Brush (http://www.autogeek.net/vilescbr.html)

Toss in a microfiber towel and they would make a great kit.

Duragloss 481 Wax Eraser does NOT work at all!

Fortunately, it looks like AutoGeek is discontinuing it.

Duragloss Wax Eraser (WE) #481 Case of 6 (http://www.autogeek.net/dg-481-6.html)

I have had best results with tape...

If it's the other guy's wax or compound residue, all-purpose cleaner with a stiff bristle brush will work. I use Optimum Power Clean (OPC). If your brush is very stiff, you should tape off the paint surrounding the stained trim to avoid scratches.

If there is an excessive amount, you could tape it off and go to work with a Cyclo brush on a Porter Cable 7424. These can be purchased as singles elsewhere.

2 Pack Cyclo Polisher Aqua Soft Carpet Brush (http://www.autogeek.net/cyclo-aqua-brush-2-pack.html)

Be careful with Magic Eraser type sponges, they are abrasive and in my experience, do not work well on textured plastic and will scratch the adjacent paint.
