Recently used buffer to apply Black Fire & Ice Carnuba wax. The finish looked great until I looked at it from an angle, in the sun & noticed a "haze" on the finish. I have a 2014 GMC Sierra, black. What am I doing wrong?Feed back please

Sounds like you put too much on, and didn't get it all off. What kind of condition was the surface in before you put it on? Had it been polished?

Didn't use a polish, as the finish is new. How do I get rid of the haze, use polish?

Sounds like you're applying it too thick.

Make sure the surface is smooth and contaminant free (clay bar) and polished properly (non-abrasive polish if the paint is free of swirls and scratches).

A polish, like BLACKFIRE Gloss Enhancing Polish, will remove the wax.

BLACKFIRE BlackICE Hybrid Montan Sealant Wax needs to be applied thin, thin, THIN. For best results, it should dry to a haze before being removed. You can machine-apply the wax using a soft foam finishing pad on your dual action polisher. I applied it by hand using one of the included black foam applicators.

Did you clay? Any sort of cleaning of the surface at all? Wax isn't going to magically make the paint awesome, takes prep.

Also, are you talking about BlackICE? If so, that jar has like 50 applications in it. Apply it thin.

I had that happen recently with a customers car. The day was very hot and humid and I had hazing. It was a black vette. I ended up removing the old wax with GG paint prep. Waxed again using less wax and all turned out well. Another thing that can cause hazing is when the previous wax is incompatible with the new. For instance if you try to put carnauba over a silicone/synthetic based wax, you may get hazing. Regardless the solution is the same and that is to remove the old wax.
