I just wanted to drop in and say hello. Oh, and a big thank you to all the contributors to this forum.

I realize this might not be the right sub forum for this question, so if you guys would please point me in the right direction, I'd greatly appreciate it. I figure for now it's probably best to start here:

I just purchased a new car (2014 Mazda 6) in silver. I have done a ton of researching on how to keep my paint looking new and I wanted some suggestions. This is what i have so far:

I don't have the time needed to properly clean and maintain my car, so my first option was to use a durable wax. This is what I came up with:
Meguiars Gold Class w/ wool mitt
Collinite IW
Meguiars MF towels

I realize that even with this.. I will need to spend some time cleaning my car. This was my second option in case I decide to become lazy:

Opti-Coat 2.0

I have access to my cousins garage, so I can probably let the car sit so the coating can cure properly. My issue that I am a completely newbie in the world of auto care. I will be applying opti-coat 2.0 by myself. Application seems to be pretty straightforward, so I guess I just wanted everyone's opinion.

Thanks in advance.

Congrats on the new car! It's a nice looking ride.
If durability is what you want, buy the Klasse twins, the AIO and the Sealant. It's what I use on my wifes DD. It will look great on silver too! It also holds up real well in our Florida heat. You can get both for about $35.00 from AGO.

Here's her white Altima yesterday during a heavy rain. Did it a month ago and still beading, buy the Sonus Acrylic Glanz detail spray to maintain. It's designed to work with the Klasse.

That seems like an awesome class Mike. I've been reading up on your thread for a little while but I work a little bit too far from your shop to make it in time for the class. I'm in Hollywood, FL.. just north of Miami.

I definitely enjoy reading up on your posts. I searched a few threads where you mentioned Detailer's Paint Coating and I'm going to order that in a few days.

Thanks for the warm welcomes!
