Good morning guys. I am finally going to take the leap and polish my gf's 2012 black Jetta. I've been talking about it for a year. But shes never here long enough for me to do it. She lives in Port St Lucie, me in Palm Bay. Anyways. I picked up a new Griots last week during the no exclusion sale. Had her pick it up before she came here Friday. Sooo, I have a few hydro tech foam pads from my old PC 7424. Her car scratched just with me wiping down the trunk lid to put her new spoiler on. The griots I go was the wolfgang package. So it has both 3.0 in it. Is this a good combo for black jetta paint? Any tips, pad color recommendation for a swirl car that has never been corrected in its black life? Thanks in advance

You didn't say what color Hydro-Tech pads you have, but if you have the GG kit I'm looking at that has orange, white and blue pads, start with the TSR with an orange pad (the CCS from the kit or the Hydro-Tech), then go with the FG on a white and if you want to "jewel" it us the FG on a CCS blue or an HT crimson. IMO.

Thank you. I told her shes never buying a black car again. lol. In your opinion, does this seem like an awesome combo for a black car?

Test the Tangerine pad with the TSR, inspect and make the "Go or No Go" decision.

If the paint looks like it needs more correction, that's the No Go and then try the TSR with the Cyan pad.

The tangerine Hydro-Tech is a great pad, as Mike suggested start with that and go forward or back from there after your test spot.
