Holy, Moley, where does the time go?? I did this Optima a year ago when they bought it:

Now it was coming back to me to get some jean transfer and other stains out of the leather and also to get the leather coated too. Being a white car, I suggested they have me wash and decontaminate the paint for them...and boy, did it need it after being parked by the Ford plant for a year!

Here it is as it arrived:

First up was wheels, barrels and wells. Next the car got foamed and then hand washed. That was then followed with a spray down of IX liquid followed by a grout sponge with IX paste. I should have taken a picture of the purple car. It was very interesting to see the amount of decontamination that had gathered in a year. White cars take work to upkeep, no question!

That was then followed by the wheels, wells and tires being blown off. I had in mind a treat I was going to do for them once the paint was cleaned. BTW, a year after the OG application and the paint was sheeting beautifully! The paint and glass were then clayed with CP Elastofoam block.

The treat? I shot the paint with Permanon. Gave it a bit of a glow and smooth as silk.

The tires were shot with DG Wet Shine via an air gun.

The interior was vacuumed and the front seats were cleaned with my AG knockoff pad + OPC. That was followed by an ONR wipe down and dried. The seats were then heavily coated with Opt Leather coating. It was buffed off about 10 minutes later. The Opt leather coating does not change the sheen or the feel of the leather.

I was fighting for the late day sun and had to drive it to the end of my street just to get some light, but here it is after a few straight hours of work:

Great job... Love the SX's with those upgraded wheels. Very luxurious looking, but still sporty. I considered one before I got my Lexus IS... the Optima was just a bit too big for my taste.

That cleaned up nicely!

Do you know how long the jeans transfer was on the leather before you cleaned it? Did one application of OPC remove the stains?

Thanks! I really like them, especially in white with the tinted glass! He gets amazing mileage in it too.

Zach, your IS is smokin! They are a very nice car though, especially when you factor in the equipment and the cost!

Thank you. It was on there for months. They came to see me at the end of April when I did that CanAM (http://www.flawlessreflectionsautodetailing.com/1/post/2013/04/check-this-outtransformers-anyone.html) for them. The OPC in combination with the knock-off AutoGlym Interior pad did the trick. That is a very potent combo!
