Ok, so i have a 2006 vw gti (27k miles) and looking at moving over to the menzerna line of products but dont know what to use, i have lot of little scrachs from the car just being outside and only being able to use the bay car washes (dont worry i dont use the brush, just hi-pres. water and such) but i like to detail every 4-5 months (full detail) at my parents home

But i was thinking of getting Menzerna Intensive Polish, do you think that will be good enough for the vw clear (supose to be hard) or should i get the Super Intensive polish...also can you really tkae off too much w/ sip with a orange (wolfgang) pad...or just gotta use the normal rules for using a pc (used one plenty of times)

Thanks!

SIP and APO60 or 106FF and APO60.

Got impressed how much the 106FF corrected, same with the APO60 myself.

Next car i get my hands on ill try the APO60 first with withe pad.

to get the best results go over your car with SIP, then 106FF. After that
put on your LSP.

Yep, you could do that no problem, and not spend $50 on the 106FF if you already have the PB's SSR1, a great product.

Go SIP on a white polishing pad, and if that doesn't take them all out, up to a green heavy polishing pad, or a yellow cutting pad. Then follow with the SSR1 with a white polishing pad.

i did a jetta the other day...the vw hard clear laughed at my other polishes...i only got correction with my heaviest polish and a yellow pad with a rotary...but it left a ton of micromarring...po106ff and a green pad cleaned up an entire black jetta lsp ready...the ceramiclear polishes are worth the extra investment

I have had very good results with a white and green pad on both polishes....

I used a orange with the SIP and it cut..but left some hazing...I dropped down to a green and a nicer finish still good cutting....used a white on areas not so bad and best results..

with 106FF I used green to cut with...did a great job cutting and a very nice finish ..glossy.....dropped down to a white and a mirror finish.,...

So let me get this right, (sorry, just a little slow today)

1. sip w/ white should give me a decent cut w/ good finish
2. if i need sip w/ orange then use it will leave hazing (can it be taken out w/ 106FF on white?)
3. whole car in 106FF w/ white pad
4. WG sealant

first try the 106FF with a white..see how it does...if not clearing swirls try the green pad.....if that fails..

go SIP with a white ..if not doing it try green..you need the find the pad polish combo that going to work best...do not start agressive at first...go the least agressive combo that works...and leaves a better finish....if all fails try the orange...but you may to follow up with 106FF after with a white pad to clear the finish up....
