2013 Nebula Gray Pearl + 2011 UltraSonic Blue ISF.

Mine is the 2013 and the 2011 belongs to a good friend.

Washing:

5 bucket with grit guard, ultra soft washing pad, I usually use either Poorboy's or Meguire's car shampoo.
I don't have a driveway, so I take the car to the self car wash at night around 8:30 PM. I carry everything I need in the trunk via Wolfgang detail bag, and also have plastic bag to to protect from any spills. Quite a neat system, there is no one around, and there is no sun.
I can wash, claybar and dry. For claybar I like Wolfgang clay + lube.
Drying is starts with the California jelly blade and finished with fresh bathroom towels from target.
All mitts and towels go into the laundry after each usage.
Wheels are done with Poorboy's car wash and some specialty brushes, then hosed off. The results are quite good and the product deals well with all the Brembo dust. Once a year I like to take the wheels off the car and do them by hand, then seal them.
Interior wise I like Sonus Total Eclipse, I have leather/alcantera seats so each gets a different product.

With the years I learned what works and what does not. I currently use Rejex sealant and I like it. It gives decent shine and great protection.

The front bumper, full hood, headlights, fog lights and mirrors are done with clearbra by Priemer in Fremont, CA. This product requires a special kind of sealant, which they sell, so I use that.

The car isn't driven to work anymore, I save the fun for the weekends. I bought my 2013 brand new, so it never seen or will see the car wash or anyone else for that matter.

The 2011 was bought pre-owned certified. The front was recently re-sprayed. The car was at some car washes through its short life and had some swirls, which I worked to remove with partial success. I used my FLEX rotary and 6.5" orange pads, 1800 RPM's with wolfgang swirl remover. This was done after washing and claybar. The results were marginal. I switched to Menzerna compound and got better results with that.

Here are some photos of our rides:

The big moment, 6 years in the waiting, at the dealer's detail shop and ready to take her home:

Yamaha 5.0L V8, only available in the ISF. Some people confuse this car with the IS350 F sport or IS250 F sport due to the badging, so for education purposes, those models are NOT an ISF and are not equipped with this wonderful engine.

You can recognize a real ISF via the stacked quad exhaust, bigger brakes, front brake cooling ducts and the un-mistaken sound of the engine when the secondary intake opens up.http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af51/norcalecm/IMG_2837.jpg

You have TWO of them?! man - I'm double jealous. USB has always been my favorite color for an F. Amazing cars... I'll most likely upgrade from my IS250 to an IS-F when the time comes. I'd consider something like an M3, but you just can't beat the Lexus quality.

Also... it is unfortunate that many ISX50's are starting to do IS-F conversions with IS-F bumpers and exhaust tips... but once you hear the rumble of the V8 there is definitely no comparison.

Side note: Spoke to a guy at the Lexus dealership the other day when I stopped by. Asked if there was any news of a new IS-F since the 3IS's just came out. He said there would be a new performance model in the nearish future... looking forward to seeing what they have in store.
