So i found a bucket on amazon's site and wanted to know if it could work with the grit guards? Its a bait bucket and from the looks of it, it basically a 5 gal bucket with a special lid... remove lid and it looks like a normal 5 gal bucket! for $4!

Can i post the link?

No, you can't post the link. If it's a standard 5 gal bucket, the GG should fit....but isn't a 5 gal bucket about the same price at Home Depot?

Wouldn't shipping a 5gal bucket kill the price? Plus like setec said you can get some Home Depot buckets for like 2 bucks.

Not all 5 gallon buckets are created equal. The ones at Lowes don't seem to fit the grit guard. I would say bring your GG with you and go visit a couple of those places, including Sherwin Williams (which is the 5 gallon buckets I find work very well with the GG)

The grit guards fit the white food grade buckets at Lowes.

Lowes has their own 5 gallon blue buckets for $2.57 right now. Not sure if it's a sale price.

I have the orange homer 5 gal buckets from home depot. Grit guards fit in perfect. If you want tops you will have to go to the paint section to pick them up. No idea why they don't sell the bucket and tops together.

Home Depot also has plain white and black buckets for the same price and the grit guards will fit. The homer orange bucket is even cheaper.

Home Depot also has some new translucent 5 gallon buckets with measurements on the side and a nice comfy foam handle. Grit guards do fit, though just barely. They also carry the Gamma Seal lids which are really nice for closing up your bucket!

I guess i will visit home depot on my way home!

Amazon prime was making it seem worthy...but if they are $3 at home depot ill get them there!

My homer buckets from home depot fit my GG nicely. Also be sure to get some gamma lids, those things are a lifesaver with buckets.

Lids are nice to have if you do rinseless as most likely you will have some leftover... at least I do. I use the leftover whenever I need to do some spot cleaning like getting all the bugs off my bumper.

The Gamma Seal lids are really nice too in that there's a ring that snaps on and the cover then just screws on and off, sealing your bucket up nicely! This is the same lid that comes with the Grit Guard Universal Pad Washer.

Definitely not a 'must have', but really nice to have nonetheless...

harbor freight has some white 5 gallon buckets that will accomodate grit guards (a little loose inside)...
