So I undertook the GF's van over the weekend. Neglected is an understatement, she may have washed it twice this year, one of them I did! She has the chrome type wheels that were probably never cleaned before (it's on 06) so there is tons of caked on junk. I used some all purpose wheel cleaner and most of the build up off. What I am left with is a bronze color in the pockets of the wheels. I M105 which got the faces fantastic, however I don't have anything small enough to fit inside the spokes. I did get out my old metal polishing kit and used a flapper wheel, I first tried with a white rouge but it didn't do much good so I bumped up to the black emery bar. This helped tremendously, however I don't have a small enough buff for that either. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you need some small tapered/cone-shaped felt bobs,
with 1/4" shanks, designed for use with drill motors.

Yep, started looking online after I posted this. Hope no rules are broken::

Tapered Buff - Caswell Inc (http://www.caswellplating.com/tapered-buff.html)

I was wondering if a Mothers cone would work as well??
