Had some precious free time this weekend so I got to play with the new flex a bit - concentrated mostly on the hood of my car and got some pretty decent results.
Process:
- SF4000 on a white hybrid pad
- SF4500 on a gold "jeweling" pad just for giggles
- WGDGPS 3.0 and let cure 12 hours
- top with BlackIce (yeah, I know - but I had time and it was fun :D )
Results:

Woa! Looking good there Rob.
So what are your thoughts on the 3401 and hybrids?

Thanks Mike - really happy with the results I'm getting with the 3401 and the hybrid pads. The white pad / SF4000 combo is really fantastic! You can just feel the Flex working as compared to my GG, if that makes any sense.

Thank you - truthfully not much difference between 4000 and 4500. 4000 is listed as a "4" cut and "10" polish while 4500 is "2" and "10", respectively - so not a whole lot of difference.
The white hybrid pad / 4000 combo really works great (as recommended by Smack) and I like to finish with a gold pad / 4500 but honestly the difference is pretty unnoticable and the 4500 step is just kind of like icing on the cake for me.

Looks good!
Be interesting to see how that flex is compared to my crappy HF DA and Country Lake backing plate...
Maybe I shouldn't, cause then Im going to want a flex...

Thanx for the comeback mate , do you think it has more to do with the pad choices on each products !

Great. That combo is a great one step approach that allows me to achieve pretty good correction while finishing out extremely well. What was your speed setting for those steps?
I hear you about the Flex doing work.

A white hybrid pad/SF4000 finishes out so well that the latter is almost not needed. Unless you are after "the icing on the cake".
