It seems that after this past winter, my car has speckles all over it still after I wash it, like it is still dirty. Bought the car before winter and it had a detail before I bought it. I have yet to try anything other than just a wash with soap, a wash mit, and rinse bucket. No claying, wax, etc. I have all that stuff already since my brother is into car detailing but just have not taken the initiative.
Here is a close up pic of the back of my car(I havent washed it in a little while so it looks worse than it really is, but you get the gist of it):

Where should I start?

Thanks

ps. Please excuse the scratches lol

Start with a wash. Then clay. If still there, use Iron X. Clay again if necessary. If they're still there, either you haven't clayed enough or they could be below surface and you need to polish.

That car definitely needs a polish badly. Like stated above, wash it again while using ironx, then clay it and then polish it. You will need a 2 step to get all those out.

Ok. We do have an orbital polisher. That will take care of the scratches right? Its a griots garage random orbital polisher. I think it currently has a 6 inch wheel on it. Feel free to make suggestions on pads/wheels!
Car is a 2006 Saab 93 aero

It's hard to say what exactly what you will need that's relating to pad color/polish until you get the paint totally decontaminated.

Like the others suggested:
Wash
Iron X
Rinse/Wash
Clay (Big Time!)

See what you are then working with. Post some pics after you complete these steps.

The GG Machine will work great, mine certainly has for me.

Look at the Menzerna Polishes.

Get a bottle of Chemical Guys Wash and Gloss.
Strip the paint down...Read the directions to understand the amounts of product you will need.
