PadMan,

I missed the introduction of the LC Hybrid Yellow. Are these equal to the green? And are they Euro foam?

I'll let Eric Dunn chime in on your question as he's the expert but I do have both the 5" and the 6"5 pads sitting here on my desk.

Just waiting for the perfect car to test them out on...

Brand new foam. :dblthumb2:

Believe it or not, the YELLOW Light Polishing Hybrid pad is actually less dense than the WHITE Polishing Hybrid pad, even though the yellow has less cut. This just goes to show how much technology is incorporated into a foam pad.

It's a very interesting foam composition, and I can tell you from personal experience that it's a very, very good pad. :dblthumb2:

The yellow in my opinion finishes better than the green. Its a small cell light polishing foam. As far as "Euro" foam, that's kind of a general statement.

Here's some shots of the 5" and the 6.5" I just took in the garage, might test them out next week on the oxidized gel-coat finish on our project boat...

Could this be used as a finishing pad on soft paint?

Well there are softer options available including the black Hybrid pads.

Never been a huge fan of the black pad :dunno:

Thanks Eric, Mike, and Nick. I like!

Good to see the pad firm enough to support the weight of the polishers. Especially on the Rupes where minimal pressure is needed. The white can sometimes be a little dense on curve areas and the gray/black be too soft.

Geat addition to the hybrid pad lineup.

Curious though, I am getting fantastic results with SF4000 on a white pad on my soft black BMW paint. Wonder how this compares to white with the same polish.

Added some of the yellows to my cart, and they are showing up as "undefined" once they're in the cart. I already alerted customer service.

I knew this post would catch your attention :P

Very intrigued how these pads will work on a RB. The blue cutting pad is amazing!

I think it works really good for when you need a very soft pad for soft paints and the final or last machine polishing step OR for machine applying a finishing wax.

But not only do I agree the foam formula is a little on the soft side, Nick thought the same thing and he's why we're talking about this yellow pad today.

I'm looking forward to testing this pad out with the my personal Rupes polisher but I'm still in the camp of thin is in when it comes to any polisher design that is not a gear-driven forced ocillation and rotation. Thicker pads absorb and dissipate too much energy. The Rupes pads are thick as are the Hybrid pads, so I just have to wonder how thinner versions of both pads would perform, espeically on curved panels and after the pads start to become wet.

PM me your shipping address and I'll send you one to test out if you post a review.

My guess is very good...

I'll probably be using and showing these in the upcoming detailing boot camp class. For sure with the Flex 3401 and possibly the rotary buffers.
