How to get material that's embedded into Velcro material of backing plate

Somehow one of my wax removal bonnets material has worked it's way onto the outer edge of my backing plate, is there some way to remove this stuff out of the Velcro material of the backing plate.. This is on my flex 3401

It's going to be a tough operation...Proper tools and lighting is a must!!

Some APC and a small brush with thin stiff bristles works wonders!
