Decided to help my dads car out a bit. It's a 1998 Mercedes Benz c43 which has probably never been properly washed. Unfortunately I don't have the equipment to do swirl removals or paint correction, nor the experience / knowledge. But we did do:

Turtle wax rinse less wash (which is really impressing me)
Speedy prep towel with meguiars quick detailed
Chemical guys nano 3n
Chemical guys black light
Chemical guys v7
Chemical guys butter wet wax

I got to say those steps turn much brighter popping results on black vs the sand color of my land rover!

I wanted to but in the Florida heat / sun it just wasn't feasible... So hot. The car felt like sand paper prior to the clay. It def has some swirls, I'm tempter to buy the harbor freight DA as it's only $60 and give this a try. But I'm not sure it's worth it.

Excellent job hand :dblthumb2:

What applicator were you using?

Q?
Do you feel that the hand application of blacklight had a somewhat glaze effect?
Just wondering. I've read of those that use it as a dedicated sealant.
Never used any CG product myself.

Happy detailing...:autowash:

I used the orange hex for the nano 3n, microfiber foam applicator for the black light, and a white hex pad for the wet butter wax.

I consider the black light a glaze as you can layer it. I like to spray with V7 but people consider that a QD... Still looking for a sealant and a wax, as I am not super impressed with the wet butter wax, even though there was a world of of difference between my impanema sand lr4 and the black c43. The black pops and looks much wetter, so it might just be my color :(

Cool.
Thanks for the get back. :xyxthumbs:

My next sealant purchase will be Power Lock. Even though I have others yet to be tried out.
