Hey guys. Chrome trim that runs under my side windows needs polishing. Is it safe to use a metal polish or should I use a light paint polish? It's on a Mercury Milan so I doubt that it's much more than a light chrome plate if even that. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/15/yzeryva3.jpg

I'm thinking more of a stainless steel. Anodized.
Hopefully someone with Mercury experience can shed some light.
Is there a particular issue that requires attention, or just dull?

Light scratches from washes before my time is the issue. And a little extra shine never hurts!

Be careful and find out exactly what it is. Could be a number of things but probably not chrome. Anodized finishes can get screwed up quick.

It's Chrome.
Polish these as you do the car with your wax or polish.
You won't mess these up, unless your no good a polishing.
You can do a metal polish but probably not worth the hassle of tapping everything off.
I just run my polisher over these and they turn out great.
