Got a new (to me) car on Friday...

I traded in my '05 Grand Prix (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/product-reviews/68491-dp-paint-coating-review-suburban-shine.html) for an '08 G8. LOTS of work needs to be done on this car and I can't wait to get started.

I still have a couple of write-ups I need to do for the Grand Prix (wet sanded some scratches, DP glass coating review) but for now here are some pics of the new ride!

Cool...I live in the part of Homer Glen that used to be part of Lockport. I am just off 143rd and State. I plan on starting with wet sanding Tuesday morning and working different stages of getting this paint where I would like it throughout the week. From the pictures you posted, I have to ask... why on earth would you feel the need to wet sand?

I guess the pictures don't convey just how bad some of the scratches are. They definitely needed it. May have been able to do it with the denim or velvet pads but I haven't used them yet so I am not sure.

Tomorrow the compounding and polishing begins!! (full write up to come later)
