Hi All, I'm coming up on my first year with Black Beauty. It's been tough trying to keep her in showroom condition as I drive 80 miles roundtrip to work in all weather conditions year round. Looking forward to learning the ins and out of detailing from you guys because I have no idea what I'm doing. Been lucky so far.Anywho...just thought I'd pass along what's worked for me so far. I found out about this stuff from some of my fellow members at a Mustang fourm I belong to. Z-5 PRO Show Car Polish for Swirl Marks and Fine Scratches: Zaino Store (http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=Z-5)
The judges at the "Ford Fever" event car show thought it looked good enough to award me the "Best In Class" But now I want to take my detailing addiction to the next level. After my first winter with her ended I spent a torturous day with Meguiar's Smooth Surface Clay Kit. I do have some swirls that need to be dealt with and I've been reading your very helpful threads learning what to do and not to do. Look forward to being an active member of your community. Here just for funzies is a video I made for my brothers back at my Mustang site when I installed an aftermarket exhaust...this ain't your father's mustang - Magnaflow Duals w/X Pipe Launch & Idle ("http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NlUwi4Ew-lQ)
Peace
P.S. Just for kicks....when I was a kid...watching this caused me to finally break down and get one forty years later.. YouTube - Bullitt - The Chase (1968) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TD0NwiUq1-s) ENJOY!

Clean looking Mustang. I don't think I've seen a V6 before with exhaust on it. Why didn't you just opt for the V8?

Nice Mustang. I honestly don't know much about Mustangs but that is one sweet looking vehicle.

Well P1et, it's true.."I coulda' had a V-8" However....the GT with similar equipment was just over 31,000 bucks while mine was $24,000. My insurance company wanted alot more to role the dice on 300 horses as compared to the V-6's 210. Then again I know me...and living in a state where the cops are thick as fleas on a mangy mutt...and hide in souped-up Camaro's-not to mention gas being over three bucks a gallon....well I thought discretion is the better part of valor. Having said all that....yeah I shoulda' bought the GT.
