I'm going down to the keys pretty soon to do some diving so I thought I would detail my scuba tanks. :) They were looking a little grungy.

Process:
Wash with Poorboy's SS&S
1 Coat Klasse All-In-One
1 Coat Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant

I thought I would put a coat of Wolfgang DGPS because it leaves everything so slick. I think it will help go through the water faster if I have a bull shark on my butt. ;)

After:

I was thinking about naming my tanks Lambo and Viper.

I agree with Surfer about the paint on the tanks...that would be sssaaawwweeetttt!

Those are some very nice looking tanks Gary.

Thanks for sharing...oh maybe the sharks will admire the tanks first before they take a bite :D :D :D either that or it may confuse them with the reflection ;)

Red tank gets the Sneaky Pete

Yellow tank must use this symbol:

I do have a Lambo bull decal I could stick on the yellow tank. To be serious they're only scuba tanks so I do think I would spend money to have them painted. If a shark is coming for me and sees it's reflection in the tank I'm not sure if that would be a good or a bad thing. To be honest I don't worry about sharks when I'm diving.

Gary..I went to Under Water Diving School in Key West for the Navy....and the sharks did not bother me as much as the Barracuda's...back in school we use to run 2-3 miles the Twin 90's and a full weight belt on sand...can not tell you how many times I dropped before I was conditioned...lol...many did also...After my time was served..i never dove again...New England water are not like Key West....cold and Murky here....

That sounds like a real work out Al. I'm a good swimmer but running 2-3 miles in the sand with twin 90's and a weight belt does not sound like fun. Did you have a wetsuit on too? That would really make it tough to run and very hot. You would be in great condition after doing that for a while.

The barracudas have never bothered me. They can be a little spooky at times the way they lay back and stare at you. They usually keep their distance. You see a lot of big cudas down in the keys and they do look mean and have some very big teeth.:D

I use to live in Michigan and I have done some cold water diving in the Great Lakes. There is a lot of nice ship wrecks in the lakes but the water is cold and the visibility is poor. They do make some very good dry suits these days but I perfer the warm water.

I see jellyfish and stingrays all the time behind my house. There are sharks in the river by my house by I have never seen one off my dock.
