Im going to use FG400 with an orange LC pad on my car because WG TSR wasn't cutting enough to remove a some water pooling issues and was leaving some swirls behind. From this, a few members and I agreed that I have some pretty hard CC on my BMW. What pad is best with SF4500 to follow FG400 with to remove the compounding micro-marring? Is a LC white pad to aggressive to finish up with SF4500?

4500 aka PO85RD, still not use to the name changes.

I use 4500 with either LC crimson, black or blue finishing pad. Mainly black though. It has VERY little cut and is what I'd consider a "jeweling" polish.

For harder clears that I use an orange pad for my 1st step, I can normally do my 2nd step with PF 2500 with an white LC pad and be LSP ready.

You should be fine with the polishing pad. SF4500 has very little cutting power.

For Jeweling , as stated above also , you can use a finishing pad , works great from Mike s videos I saw .

:iagree:

I've used LC black pads, blue pads, red pads (all CCS) but nothing comes close to the HT Crimson, especially on soft paints.

:iagree: However possibly on black paint (or a very dark color) a final step with SF4500 or maybe even SF4000 on a crimson pad will be needed to give that last little bit of pop
