Okay so I'm buying a 1997 Ford F-150 V6 5spd tomorrow and the paint is in pitiful shape. It doesn't look to have any clearcoat failure just alot of neglect. The paint itself feels like 180grit sand paper. So it definitely needs to be clayed, but I'm looking at getting optimum's foam/clay block the aggressive version. It says on the description to use Optimum's Waterless wash diluted down to clay lube specs, here's my question. I have a brand new bottle of Griots Speed Shine which can be used a clay lube, do you think i will have any negative effects by not using the optimum clay lube?????

I don't think I will but just wanted to ask and make sure, I've never used the foam blocks.......

Thanks Chris!

As long as it's super slick you will be good.
