View Full Version : Hyper Wash super runny

I bought a gallon of Hyper Wash from the local Meguiar's rep a couple weeks back. But something seems amiss with it. I've used it before, but this gallon is super runny and doesn't suds very well. Last time I bought some it was thick like syrup; this isn't even as thick as their Deep Crystal wash. And I can blast the bucket to fill it with suds and they're almost gone halfway through me washing my Aura.

Did the Hyper Wash go bad on me? The only thing I can think of is that he carries everything in a box truck, and maybe the heat messed with it. Anyone have this problem with Hyper Wash, or did they change something with it since I last used it?

Was the bottle sealed for foil when you opened it for the first time?

Yeah, it was. Would it make a difference if it wasn't?

Maybe it just needs a good shake?

Have you tried shaking it up? Is it possible the thicker portion settled to the bottom of the jug?

no issues with my last jug? BTW one of my favorite washes.

Of course it's not as drastic, but:
Remember the Tylenol-scare from a few years ago?

Sure do!
Of course I wasn't suggesting Meguiar's tampered with it... Just seeing if it came from the factory that way.

I don't know. The foil just indicates that it could have been a manufacturing anomaly, whereas the lack of it could be any number of things.

^^^Me neither!^^^ :)

Lots of things could happen between the factory (hope it was in Irvine),
the jobber's pick-up location, and its southern Illinois destination.

As others have already said above, call customer service and they'll take care of it. I just received another gallon last week and it is supposed to be on the thicker side.

Called, said that it could be a number of things that have caused it (ie, old stock, extreme temp changes) and then to get back in touch with who I bought it with locally.
