Hi everyone. We had a special car to work on this past weekend, a low mileage 1999 Ferrari 360 Modena. This vehicle had less than 22,000 miles and only had one owner before cour client purchased it. It had been cared for very well mechanically, but the paint left a lot to be desiered.

On day one we started by giving the exterior a thorough wash and decontamination to see the true state of the paint. Forgive our pictures from day one, we had to use our iPhone due to a dead battery in the Nikon.

Here is how the paint looked when we started.

As you can see, there were a lot of defects in this paint. We ended up going with a teo step polishing approach that started with Menzerna FG400 on an MF finishing pad, and finished with Sonax Perfect Finish on a green uber pad. Here is a quick 50/50 on the hood after both steps.

As you can see, we were able to achieve a very high level of correction, while maintaining the clarity and gloss in the paint.

Over the next two days we performed this two step treatment on every square inch of paint. Unfortunately the second day started with heavy rain, and the sun never really came out in full force. Here is how the paint turned out.

We also cleaned up the engine bay. It wasn't in terrible shape, so we did a detailed wipe down with Ultima Waterless Wash, and dressed all of the plastic with Sonus Trim and Tire Kote.

To finish the exterior we applied Cquartz UK to the paint and trim to provide great protection that should last a long time on this vehicle. We dressed the tires and wheel wells with Carpro PERL, and coated all of the glass with Car Pro FlyBy30 to help sheet water off, should the car ever get stuck in the rain. Here is how it all came together.

We, and our client, were very happy with the outcome of this correction. We were able to correct 90% of the paint defects, as well as provide a great layer of protection to the paint. All that is left is for the client to go out and enjoy driving this gorgeous vehicle! Thanks for checking out our write up ,and we appreciate any feedback!
