Got a used Flex with the Lake Country backing plate system and I wanted to try it out, so I decided to put it up to the test on my 1997' Mazda B2300. The truck's paint is trashed, and I induced swirls on purpose wiping it when dirty, etc just for fun.

I cut through all the swirls/scratches with a Lake Country 6" Yellow Heavy cutting pad and Meguiar's Ultimate Compound. Followed that with Adam's Swirl and Haze, then Fine Machine Polish.

A few 50/50's

The walking will become less and less and eventually be a non issue as you use it more and more. Does a pretty good job huh? Nice results.

Well if your going to use the flex a lot then you should look into the LC interchangeable backing plate system that work the the hybrid pads. I was turned on to that combo and what a difference it makes when using the flex.

It has the LC system, I am actually looking at the hybrid pads right now. Trying to decide which to order.. I'm thinking 2 heavy, and 2 light polishing.. I have some "no cut" waxing pads, etc. But I'm not sure about there being 2 light polishing pads with the hybrids?
