SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Here is the beginning of photos galore. This is a 2002 17' Bass Pro Shop Crappie 175 Pro I'm doing for a client. This is my FIRST boat detail. Now this boat is neglected like crazy. Come to me spider webs, interior trashed, exterior aluminum oxidized and dull and more....

As talking with the customer, they are wanting to sell the boat, so it's not a full hardcore show style boat detail. Now the polishing is hardcore, meaning it's hard and hurts my core, lol.

Mario from Please Wash Me Detailing turned me onto wool pads for the project.

I turned to Mike Philips at Autogeek/Marine 31 to guide to me a pad to fit my old Wen 7" Rotary. This thing is an oldie but still works. Oh and I've never used a rotary either or wool pads. Soo first time boat, first time alumnuim polishing, first time wool pad and first time rotary use.
We found such pad.

Understand also I'm not polishing everything like crazy, mostly removing the top oxidation.

Now I haven't used everything in the list below yet, since boat isn't even close to being done. Just listing what I will use.

Products used:

Lake Country Mfg 8.5 inch 4 Ply 100% Twisted Wool Compounding Pad
Marine 31 Finish Cut Metal Restoring Polish
Meguiar's APC+
Bissell Shampooer with cleaner
Meguiar's Tire Gel
Meguiar's Ultimate Polish on the motor housing with hand applicator
Meguiar's NXT on the Motor Housing with hand applicator

Here is just a few pictures of the boat itself and a couple photos of some metal polishing

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Here is the beginning of photos galore. This is a 2002 17' Bass Pro Shop Crappie 175 Pro I'm doing for a client. This is my FIRST boat detail.

Congratulations on the first boat detail and a fun one at that...

As talking with the customer, they are wanting to sell the boat, so it's not a full hardcore show style boat detail.

And there's nothing wrong with not doing 100% of what you know your capable of as the first priority is to match your services to your customer, then always under promise and over deliver. That's exactly what this article is about...

A few tips on starting a part-time detailing business (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/how-make-money-detailing-cars/27827-few-tips-starting-part-time-detailing-business.html)
Match your services to your customer

Thank you for taking all the before and after pictures and sharing them on the forum. I noticed you uploaded to the AGO gallery and that's cool as we don't have to worry abut them disappearing.

Please keep us updated also after your custom sales this boat and his thoughts on how your work helped to speed up the sale and increase the value.

Interior Pictures - This carpet was stained pretty severely in spots, not to mentioned mold. Not everything came out, but you can see the difference.

Oops not sure what happened there but the "OK Final Pics" posted twice. You may remove one if you wish.

and yes those seats were bad. That one with the center cleaned was also moldy, as what those black spots were on the front.

Thank you. I do hope they get a good buck for the boat. He had a few things to do to it before sale but I'm anxious to find out what he gets for it.
