So I decided after leaving my car under trees for 2 weeks while I was out of the state and then going another week without being able to wash her (damn rain) that I'd show her some love. Didn't help that it was dirty before I left for vacation.

This involved a total of about 4-5 hours and an angry girlfriend.

Brought my detailing supplies (minus my IPA solution, diablo gel, 20:1 nonsense, 10:1 apc+ and wheel woolie) to my girlfriends house so I could clean her on concrete since I have a gravel driveway.

Started with 5 capfuls of CG Citrus Wash + Gloss with a stiff bristle brush for tires and wheel wells and a softer brush for wheels with nonsense diluted 4:1 for cleaning. Pissed me off I forgot my diable diluted 4:1 I believe and my wheel woolie but it's a long drive to my house so I made do.

I use 3 buckets (2 for washing the paint and one for wheels and tires) and 2 of them 5 capfuls of Citrus Wash + Gloss and the other just water.

I followed that up with CG Speedwipe to help dry with my CG gray waffle weave towel which works tremendously better than the Viking brand ones from O'Reillys. Then I used my medium clay bad with CG Luber (came with the clay bar) and used half the damn bottle so I need some UWW+. Then I wiped down with APC+ 20:1 and then applied a coat of BFWD, let it sit for ~30min and buffed it off. Waited 4 hours and then applied a coat of Autoglym HD. I let the AGHD and let it sit for around 15min and wiped off. It was a bit of a PITA so I don't recommend doing the whole car and then buffing unless you're not waxing the windows like I do. This took around 15min to apply it so when I got to the second panel it was too dry to come off easy.

I made this removal easier by spraying CG V7 and wiping straight lines and followed up by flipping the towel and buffing normally. Made things a lot easier.

I also cleaned the interior vinyl with the 20:1 APC+ and treated with CG Silk Shine. Which reminds me, I put 2 coats of Silk Shine on my tires and wiped them off after each coat and also applied 1 coat to the side mirrors and windshield wiper cowl. Anyways, I used Meguiar's Leather & Vinyl Cleaner and Leather Conditioner on my seats. I also used my CG Glassworkz (the pomegranate scented stuff) on my interior glass.

It's Zinc Yellow so I had to take a couple under gas station lights:

I have to say I love the picture of the sunset on the back.
All pictures were taken on an iPhone 5 so they're not the best quality, but I like them.

I used Allclean+ diluted 4:1 (mixed up just for this), my water hose made of 5/8" ID hydraulic heater hose (no kinks!), Silk Shine, my old waffle weave drying towel from O'Reillys (threw it out and used air since the towel sucked), and a chemical guys workhorse towel for wiping down the SS.

I'm very pleased; however, I forgot to clean the underside of the hood. I'll clean that next engine detail haha

Nice! That zinc yellow pops!

Especially at night under gas station lights!

If I ever get it repainted a different shade of yellow Screaming Yellow and the yellow on the new ZR1's would be tempting to go with, but I'll probably go with Zinc Yellow again whenever I do get it repainted. Keep it original as a tribute to my grandpa who bought it for me.
