Hey everyone. This detail is dedicated to my Aunt who we lost to a short battle with cancer. I received the news about half way through the detail so the results aren't the greatest because I cut some corners to finish quickly so I could be with my family.

The detail: I looked at the weather before I began to wash and it looked like spot showers here and there. I figured all is well, get it washed up and into the garage before the rain. Well about 1/3 of the way through the truck, the skies darkened and the thunder began to rumble. So I was rushed right off the get go through this detail. About 10 minutes after I got the truck into the garage the skies opened up. It seemed like a normal thunderstorm until the winds picked up and then the rain came down by the gallons, including plenty of pea sized hail:

The Process:
-Washed with NXT and shmitt
-PB Clay w/ DP Auto Wash as lube

Drivers side:
-Optimum Hyper Compound, wool pad, rotary polisher
-SSR2.5, polishing pad, PC polisher

Passenger side:
-Menzerna PowerGloss, polishing pad, rotary polisher
-SSR2.5, polishing pad, PC polisher

Hood:
-Optimum Hyper Compound, wool pad, rotary polisher
-Menzerna PowerGloss, polishing pad, rotary polisher
-SSR2.5, polishing pad, PC polisher
Then since I was rushed on time, I applied opti-seal on the paint and vinyl graphics.

Interior:
-Everything was scrubbed or wiped down with Danase Formula D (3:1 ratio)
-Meguiar's #40
-Invisible Glass

Considering the circumstances, the truck is a lot better than it was before. I'm not sure why I switched to the PowerGloss but it was decent. I'll need more time to play with it. The Formula D worked great on the interior pieces, I was thinking I'd need to use some BnB diluted down to get it looking black again but that wasn't needed. The opti-seal, very cool product. I don't know how it works but its very cool. I had a few spots where I applied too thickly which I had to wipe off but it looks great. Sorry this has gotten so long, hope you enjoyed the pictures. Thanks for looking.

I don't see any short cut, the truck looks awesome.

Sorry about your aunt, my thoughts and prayers. I lost my mom to cancer, still hurts when I think about it. My brother-in-law is going in tomorrow to have one kidney removed due to cancer.

Thank you for the support everyone. This surely is a tough time for everyone in my family.

Meghan, Mr. UPS dropped by today with a huge box which helped brighten the day for me today :). I'll write an initial review of the UDM in a few minutes.
