Tornador Air Foamer & IronX Snow Foam (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/ask-expert-featuring-mike-phillips/67850-tornador-air-foamer-ironx-snow-foam.html)

Love these two products...

We also use them in all my detailing boot camp classes.

Stacy's Honda had a lot of road grime on it and hasn't been washed in at least a month and I wanted to decontaminate the paint, so I used IronX Snow Foam in a Tornador Air Foamer, then washed with a Boar's Hair Brush plus various wheel and tires brushes to get the wheels, tires and fenderwells clean.

The paint on this Honda is as clean as a whistle and ready for a fresh coat of something...

Now onto machine scrubbing the tires on the old 2-door Ford (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/ask-expert-featuring-mike-phillips/67817-guess-year-win-something-off-nick-s-desk.html)...

Mike, please coat the Accord with the new DP paint coating!!!

Going back out to the studio to do just that. I did the Baggie Test and the paint needed to be clayed so I did this step already.

On my desk I have the new Detailer's Coating Prep Polish and the new Detailer's Paint Coating. I'll be able to get both of these steps done but then I have to leave.

Will post some pictures on Monday.

I also machine scrubbed my tires on my own truck and I'm going to use Tuff Shine Tire Clear Coat on the rubber but I'm going to use the Detailer's Wheel Coating on the custom 20" RBP rims.

Looking forward to reading your thoughts on this product and seeing how the silver Accord will look after the coating.

Mike will IronX Snow Foam formula strip the LSP on a vehicle? If not, could it be used once a month +\- to remove contaminants? Could this be used on a vehicle that has been Opti-coated for the same purposes?

Mike, can the foamer cap be used with the cleaning gun, or are parts not interchangeable between the two?

Can IronX Snow Foam be used effectively with a non-power washer or air foamer type foam gun? I know I foam won't be the same nor have the same consistency, but will it perform to an enthusiast's standards (not professional) when wanting to decontaminate Opti-Coated vehicles?

Yes it can. Just dilute into a spray bottle and soak the vehicle down. Let dwell. Wash

Same question. Can this: Tornador Foamer Replacement Cap (http://www.autogeek.net/tornador-foamer-cap.html) be used on the end of an existing Tornador to use it as a foamer?

The bodies of the guns look different. Maybe if you could find a parts breakdown of the two to compare. I've also been curious about this.

I'm getting ready to upgrade to the tornador black, and it would be nice if I could just buy that cap to turn my current tornador into a foamer.

I'd have to go read the documentation for this product to really know the answer to your question and it's EOD so I'll look into it tomorrow.

Big pictures is this...

When washing the car with a soap of any kind, are you adding to the LSP?

If the answer is "no", what's the opposite of the word adding?

Maybe check out the store webpage or the company website to get more info on the product. For me I was planning on re-sealing the paint anyways so it didn't matter but I see where you're coming from...

I looked over the CP website on the snow soap a while back and it seems to be least aggressive and can be used for ongoing maintenance after LSP. Other posters in other threads on this product seem to agree with that also. If you use it once a month, you are only going to apply it maybe 2-3 times between applications of LSP. When doing a new car or a first time detail, I think the IronX spray or paste are a little more aggressive for that purpose and I probably wouldn't use those (personally) except during spring and fall strip downs.

Great question Dan, the answer is "no".

Took some pictures and turned your question into an article to help others into the future as I'm sure others have this same question.

Can the Tornador Foam Cap be used on the Tornador Car Cleaning Gun? (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/auto-detailing-101/68039-can-tornador-foam-cap-used-tornador-car-cleaning-gun.html)

The answer is "no".

The design and thread size of the tubes on the ends of the guns are completely different as you can see by the pictures below.
