Good Afternoon Mike,

This is currently what I have ordered and received for product from Autogeek:

- Flex 3401 HD
- Substituted the CCS pads for the Lake Country Hybrid 6.5
pads (I can't remember which colors, I know black finishing
pads for sure)
- Wolfgang Flex 3401 Concour Polishing Kit
: Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover 3.0
: Wolfgang Finishing Glaze 3.0
: Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0
: Wolfgang Instant Detail Spritz
- Indigo 6 inch Microfiber Bonnets

I believe that was everything.

I am wondering what else you would recommend and also products?

I am considering purchasing the following and just want to make sure its a good choice and the best :xyxthumbs:

- Microfiber Gloves
- Wolfgang Black Diamond Tire (and possibly wheel kit)
Pampered, good-looking tires and wheels are just minutes away with the Wolfgang Tire & Wheel Kit (http://www.autogeek.net/wg8500.html)
- Foam Pad Conditioner Brush
- DP Pad Rejuvinator

Also would like some recommendations for interior cleaning. I do not have leather so it would be mainly for the doors and dash area.

Thanks again for all the time you will take during this process.

Thanks,

Jordan

Jordan,
Welcome to AGO. Looks like you have a pretty good order there and I highlighted the three items that I would that I would recommend. I don't have or use the MF gloves so I can't give you a recommendation for that item. The Foam pad brush is a must have.

What are you looking to do? Production or just maintain your own? Is this a Hobby or you plan to do Professionally? What type of work you planning on doing, light swirls or complete paint restoration? will make a difference on type of pads and quantities.

One item that I would highly recommend is Mike's book, I started a post: http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/flex-polishers/67354-new-flex-3401-coming-tomorrow-how-much-learning-curve-orver-da.html
where Mike made a recommendation for his second addition detailing book, this addresses the Flex, Rupes, rotaries, etc... Might be a better read.

Hope this might help a little bit.

Hi Jordan,

Welcome to AutogeekOnline! :welcome:

Good talking to you on the phone today!

Good Afternoon Mike,

This is currently what I have ordered and received for product from Autogeek:

I believe that was everything.

I've never used microfiber bonnets on a Flex 3401, only the PC style of tools. Not sure about that plus I don't think they'll fit around a 6.5" Hybrid Pad.

The above looks good. I love the gloves and we use them all the time during wipe-off and now Wayne Carini's guys use them to push cars in and out of the show room.

If you like the deep, dark shine look the WG Black Diamond Tire dressing works great for that.

Love the pad conditioning brush, as I said on the phone, a tooth brush will work but this brush is much better than a small, wimpy toothbrush and will last you forever. We use them all the time for our projects here at AG.

The DP Pad Rejuvenator works great too, pour a scoop into about 4 gallons of water in a 5-gallon bucket and stir it up and then place your pads into it as you go through them to soak and this will make cleaning them a breeze. I squeeze them a little when I place them in the bucket to fill them with the cleaning solution.

I'd get this too...

Most reputable brand interior cleaning and dressing products will work really well. Since you're using Wolfgang already check out their Vinyl & Rubber Protectant (http://www.autogeek.net/wg2700.html).

The thing about interiors on new cars, especially the always being introduced brand new cars, is car manufacturers keep changing the "materials" used inside cars and the more complicated they become the more difficult they are to safely work on, so follow this sage advice,

"Find something you like and use it often" (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/ask-expert-featuring-mike-phillips/24310-find-something-you-like-use-often.html)

Plus always test in an inconspicuous area before applying smack dab in the middle of the dash or a seat.

Didn't see this on your list and am not sure if you have them.

Some Micro Fiber Towels? The Cobras are super plush.

I recommend getting the Lake Country Changeable Backing Plate system.

Hey Guys,

Thanks for all the reply's. I looked a little more at everything I bought last night when I got home. I have 2 of the black Lake Country Hybrid 6.5 pads. I didn't get the bonnets that I thought I had which like Mike said, they probably wouldn't have worked.

I do have some microfiber towels but plan on picking more of them up.

Also the backing plate system is on my list but it all takes $$$$$$$$$$$$$ :dblthumb2:

I also will probably be ordering some of the Supreme 530 microfiber towels. I do already have a couple of the Supreme Guzzler Waffle but will probably order a few of them also. Waiting for those to pop up on the BOGO

Sounds like you got it under control. Nice list and nice orders. I have the pad washer on my wish list, got to get a bit more business to get that.

Hope to see some pics of your progress..
