My buddy's 4Runner has been through the war. Left outside 24/7 with no protection whatsoever, not even through the car wash. My first time working with ss paint and was pretty easy to work with, except the part where I had to wash pads after doing 2 panels because of paint transfer. There were also alot of areas on the roof with bird poop etching which are through the paint and one bad area on the hood.

Process:

Wash - ONR with PakShak Ultra Plush MF, 2 buckets
Clay - Clay Magic, Blue (Used 1/2 the bar!)
Lube - ONR

Got to play with the Festool RO150 FEQ

Polish - Menzerna IP, 1/2 LC CCS White (went through 2 pads) @ Rotary 6 on the Festool. Needed 2-3 passes in some areas
Polish - Menzerna IP, 1/2 LC CCS Yellow via Festool Orbital @ 6

Finish - Optimum Poli-Seal, LC CCS White
Wax - CG Pete's 53', WOWO using foam applicator and PakShak MF
Tires/Wells - Megs Instant Shine Aerosol
Trim - PB Trim Restorer & Pace Edwards Vinyl Cleaner (Thanks Marvin!)
Interior - 303 Spot Cleaner & Aerospace Protectant, PE Vinyl Cleaner

Here are the BEFORES:

Wow that's incredible! I bet you added a lot to the value of their vehicle. I hope they take better care of it now. I need to get some Menzerna now that AG carries it. All the show and shines I've seen with it have fabulous results.

I was impressed with the difference in cutting power and gloss of the Menz IP. As alot of people mentioned, the outcome of these products can vary depending on pad.

I've also found that the Festool rotary using white pad didn't finish as glossy as the Festool orbital using a yellow pad. The rotary vs white also left a slight haze.

Can't wait to use the 106FF.

Very nice turn around, I like the reflection you got out of that single stage paint. I got an MR2 that I will be doing soon and it's single stage paint and I'm looking forward on working on it.

Thanks for sharing I enjoyed the pictures and the process. Job well done.

Thanks to all for the compliments. It was torture, especially with all that bird cr@p. But, honestly, after all the work and Ibuprofen, it was actually fun!

You guys are the only rich ones! The machine I used was a loaner. Don't know if I'll be shelling out 500 smackers for one of my own. Great product though.

Awesome job! Love how Menzerna IP cleaned up those swirls, etc. You got a rolling mirror now!
