Using Meguiars clay and this happens (pic below) after doing the hood, front and one front fender. Opened new bar and same thing...opened next bar and same thing. Called Megs and they are replacing but was wondering if this has happened to any of you and if there is a reason for the defect. Also, wondering opinions on better quality clays I should move to.

What lube were you using?

Used Megs Quick detailer lubricant that came with the clay kit, so I followed protocol per instructions.

That's pretty odd.... only time I had Meg's clay break up on me was when I clayed the car while it was still wet with car soap.

I think you probably got a bad or an old batch.
I highly doubt that you will have the same experience with the replacements.

If u haven't bought another one try mothers clay bar had no problems with that one but I'm sure u got a old or bad clay bar
