I've never used any Klasse products at all before, but thought I'd try the Klasse "All In One" product (and I'm using my Wife's daily driver, as my test case.)

As with any detailing kinda product, I'm sure the prep work is the most important.

Looks like you just apply it with a damp applicator / cloth and ......

No buffing ?

Do I need to be concerned about streaks ?

How long does it last (in general) ?

again, this is the "All in One" (red bottle)

TIA

Overall, I'd say Klasse AIO is very easy to use.
By hand I prefer to use an MF pad.
By DA I use a white polishing pad.

I've typically used it in a WOWO manner (More often then not I'll apply to entire car, then wipe off entire car immediately after, rather than one panel at a time). Either way I have never noticed any streaking problems.

I don't think it stains trim per se (in my experience), but I have found that it can leave a white edge on your 3M clear bra if you're not careful. (If it wasn't the KAIO, then it was my WG DGPS 3.0 I used recently. But I'm pretty sure the KAIO was the culprit in my case.). Just something to watch for.

Regarding durability, I've never considered it a LSP so I can't say I've done any testing in that respect. I always apply a sealant (or wax) over top.

A nice thing about KAIO too is you can also use it on other surfaces like your headlights, taillights, glass, etc.

Highly recommend that you apply the sealant glaze or some other sealant as the AIO will not last very long.

While most the time everyone talks about "applying a thin coat" when talking about applying a wax or sealant, when working with cleaner/waxes on neglected paint, you want to use the product heavy or wet. That means use a lot of it.

You want a lot of product on the surface to both lubricate the surface as you rub or buff and you want lots of chemical cleaners working for you do undo the damage from neglect. In the case of a cleaner/wax that has abrasives then you would want to use the product heavy or wet to have lots of BOTH chemical cleaners and abrasives on the surface going to work for you.

Tips...

Only work small section at a time, kind of like using a dedicated paint cleaner.

Overlap new sections into previous sections.

I'd do a Test Spot too, even if working by hand...

(and why it's so important)

That's exactly what I used as a reference. I used a microfiber applicator when I used applied it by hand after doing a one step machine polish. I followed up with klasse sealant.

Hi Mike. On the topic of (chemical) paint cleaners, how would you say KAIO compares to Meguiar's MPPC (retired) or DC step 1 paint cleaner?

About the same...

MPPC and DC Step 1 are actually very good. Klasse AIO is a very good paint cleaner.

Just as important is technique, and using the correct application material for the job. I find to many people don't know how to use a paint cleaner by hand and when applying a paint cleaner by hand technique is everything assuming the product works.

I have the original MPPC in my wax collection...

We think this was the first version of the Medallion Premium Paint Cleaner Label. We have an older catalog with this bottle pictured in it, we'll to locate it and scan it for this thread.

I used MPPP on Scrape all the time and Scrape won a lot of awards and now is on display at the Peterson Museum...

Look closely at what's in my hand...

Klasse AIO is an acrylic based wax with cleaners and works very well. It isn't very durable unless you use the Sealant (silver bottle) afterwards.
