Hey guys i just bought this Karcher pressure washer from costco:
http://reviews.costco.ca/2070-en_ca/...ws/reviews.htm (http://reviews.costco.ca/2070-en_ca/10341194/karcher-karcher-2000-psi-electric-pressure-washer-reviews/reviews.htm)

I usually rinse my car first and then i spend about 2-3 minutes to wash each tire/wheel. Now in those 2-3 mins do i need to turn off my pressure washer completely? To fully turn off the pressure washer. First step is to switch off the knob on the pressure washer and then take out the plug from power outlet and then turn off the water source. So do i need to this everytime i am washing each of my tire for 2-3 mins? Also am i wasting water in that time even though i am not pressing the trigger on the nozzle?
Thx hopefully it makes sense. Looking forward to replies.

No you dont need to switch off unless you intend to Not use it for more than ten minutes.

The procedure should be
Turn off the knob.
Press the trigger to release the remaining built up pressure.
Once the water flows out from the lance, you can turn off the tap.

If you keep your machine on you wont lose water from the tap because the machine creates a lot of back pressure on the tap. When you press the trigger, this back pressure releases and water flows from the tap to the machine and through the lance.

Hope this helps.
