View Full Version : Sealant curing?

Took advantage of a cloudy day and washed my DD, clayed it, and started applying PB EX-P. After I got half of the car covered, the bottom fell out.

Any worries with the rain and the curing process? Should I just scrap what I've done and restart after the rain stops?

If you are asking if you need to rewash before you continue to apply sealant? YES

I do not see any reason why you should need to clay the car again, assuming it was parked away from any potential debris. Best way to be certain is to perform the "baggie test" after you wash it.

I just used waterless wash to reclean the panels I hadn't applied sealant to yet and patted down what was already on with a waffle weave and followed up with a few wipes with a 530 microfiber. Forecast is for nothing but rain for the next week so I'll redo it next week. Thanks anyway.
