Just tried the XMT 360 spray wax
After washing my new 2013 dark navy Prius today
(it had already been DA polished and waxed with Souveran paste 2 weeks ago))
The xmt 360 seems to have left all sorts of splotches/marks on the dark navy paint
I sprayed it on the car and then wiped it with a microfiber cloth and then a dry microfiber cloth
I thought it was fine till I got it in just the right light , now there are all sort of marks on the blue paint, no they were not there before

Any ideas?
According to the Autogeeks website I'm supposed to use a cobra 600-jr microfiber cloth on it.
Did I use to much ? or need just the right cloth

or should it be sprayed on the cloth and not the car.
Not sure I like the xmt 360 spray wax- & I bought 128 oz thinking I would use it for yrs.

Did you spray, spread and remove or spray entire car then remove. The usual issues are using too much or letting it dry before removing.

A good way to use it is to have 2 towels: one for spreading (it will get damper as you go) and a second to remove so it will tend to build up less product so less likely to streak.

Sprayed, spread, then removed with a different microfiber cloth.
Maybe I used to much?
Should the microfiber cloth be a very plush one which it was not for spreading, but was for wiping off. Anyway of removing marks now ,or a good wash will just remove it. Tried a damp microfiber cloth after followe witha dry one and that seems to have helped a little.

How big or small of an area should I be doing at one time?

A lot depends on what is underneath it.

Never experienced XMT spray wax doing this and I use it a lot. I usually use 1-2 sprays per panel, at most. Don't need to use much, how many sprays did you use? Also you purchased a gallon, what spray bottle did you put it in to, and how big is the sprayers stroke? Could be putting out a high volume. The smallest version uses an atomizer sprayer, very handy.

The towel really shouldn't make a difference...

Just some old sprayer I had here In a bottle, sounds like I am spraying way to much, I think it has a pretty big stroke. I think it came with a sprayer here in the box from Autogeek (says spray or stream on the tip-small stroke), I will try this sprayer next time, could it also be that I just waxed last week with the paste wax and I need to give it a little time -a few weeks before using the 360 spray wax. To much wax to soon?

Sounds like you used way to much. And always make sure to use fresh bottles and sprayers. You can cross contaminate and get some weird polymer wax mash up. And no, using wax last week then a spray this week is not bad, but maybe overkill and waste of product but thats just me!

that may be it, any place to just get an empty decent bottle and sprayer, dollar store?
since I have the 128 oz of it.

You most likely used too much. A couple "sweeping" sprays per panel will do it. If that doesn't work, it's the spray wax not jiving with the paste wax. You're doing this in the shade on cool paint, right?

I think you are right, Ill leave it alone for now, how do I know if the sprayer at the store is low volume, since i cant try it first

You don't need a "low volume" sprayer. I would guess the one you're using is fine. Just cut down on the sprays and use a sweeping motion; that helps. You're using the spray wax in the shade on cool paint, right?
