Look what I bought for 2$!

Bought in a garage sales for 1$ each! The polishing pad only have one though...oh and they are new!

Anybody used these? how aggressive they are?

3M makes real nice pads..but they are a little expensive...I have 2 polishing pads and they work great...you got a great deal there..thats about 60 worth of pads...they usally cost about 30.00 for the 2 pack....very nice deal...I would love to find a deal like that....they are great rotary pads....used in most body shops all over...

In terms of aggressiveness, to what pad would you compare them to? If we compare them to LC, is the compound more like orange or yellow, and the polishing like a white or green?

Also, is a 6" backing plate good for these pad?

This was great timming because I'll be buying a Matebo very soon :D

Neat find. Did you happen to ask about his buffer?
I asked him where did he bought them and he said it was from a warehouse clearance at work. I told him if he ever find more to buy them all!

I use those very pads every week! Nice find!

The compounding pad on a rotary is *very* aggressive!...but works well with Optimum

The finishing pad is great for polishes and glazing. I even have 2 of those for light compounding.

Good stuff on that find.

As Toto said..the White pad is very aggressive....it is definitely a cut pad in any of the MFGR's line up...above orange and more like the yellows....

the black polishing pad is sorta like a mix of green and white....great for polishing and just enough bite for a lite compound....they were designed for the 3M line up..they have so many different types and cuts....ther have Finess it..Perfect it II and III but III is gone now..its called perfect it 3000..but both pads work fine with other products....they are 8 inch...a 6 inch plate will work..BUT a 7 inch is better..if you get a rotary most come with a plate thats a 7inch....my makita and hitachi did....

these pads do not do well with a PC..to big.,....

Nice pads indeed. I have six of each and use them on occasions
in actual fact, the white one is awesome for getting seriously etched water spots off glass with DP glass restorer. (watch the speed and move alot)

Only drawback is they thin out. I've never experienced any thinning of pad material from LC, sonus or edge.
How come 7 1/2 to 8.5 inch pads can't come in the same thickness as DA 5 to 6 inch pads
