My sister hasn't washed or polished this car since 2006 I think. Damn mess. Tar, paint transfer, sap, you name it. It's been parked under trees since she has owned it. So as you can imagine the paint is junk. Front and rear bumper covers are toast. I didn't have the Iron X (?) because I saw LOTS of those orange dots all over the paint. I could have spent hours alone trying to get those out via clay. So I'll do that another day. It was 100 degrees today and I got heat stroke despite drinking 5 gallons of water through the day. I need a garage. :(

Some pics.....

She was happy with it. Still not 100% done with it but it's much more presentable now.

I have some swirl remover on the way. The products I used today didn't seem to remove any. Next time I touch it though it will be in my father's garage.

I've worked on that exact car before. It was white too. It was probably one of the hardest paints to correct I've ever worked on.

Good luck!!

Very nice save. Wonder what the engine bay looks like. IMO running it through an automatic car wash is better than not washing the dirt off at all.

Hope she takes better care of it this time. Looks brand new.

I didn't open the hood but I did the trunk. I was too dead tired to do anything about it. I'll do it when I IronX the rockers.

awesome job. I love looking at dramatic restorations over exotic imports any day!

Thanks guys. Yea it was a pain. I get to do a easy car tomorrow along with all 4 brakes. 2009 Pontiac G6 that isn't nearly as bad. Well probably tomorrow. Tuesday I'm supposed to do a beat up Subaru. Fun times.

My sister has texted me twice since saying that when she goes into her work parking garage the car just SPARKLES....lol well no kidding. if you had kept it clean in the first place it would always sparkle.
