I bought a new lens for my Canon, an EF 50mm f/1.8. Nice and fast! I think they are a bit too saturated, but hey, I'm still learning. Enjoy!

Nice pictures, all are cropped nicely, focused well, good exposure. However, the one of the dog seems to be a little underexposed, it really isnt popping out like it should. They all could also use some sharpening.

Thanks for the feedback Dan. I took quite a few and these were the best ones. It was actually getting to be dark (a storm was rolling over) so I really had to open the lens up as I didn't have a tripod with me. Probably why they're not as shart as they should be...

Is this English? What language is he talking hahaha just kidding. As you can tell I know nothing about taking pictures, still reading lots on how to take good pictures and what all the features mean and can do to a picture. Who knew that taking pictures could be so complicated ;)

I've been reading lots because I want to improve my picture taking ability but I have a long way to go.

I enjoyed your pictures and to me they all look good...but like I said I'm just a regular person when it comes to pictures.

oh...the truck looks wicked.

I think they call this one the "Nifty Fifty" because it's a very sharp, fast lens for not that much money.

I bought mine in the local camera shop for $82 and got the Hoya filter for an extra $20. I haven't taken it off since I bought it, love this lens! Blows the kit lens right out of the water.

Great pictures! Especially the dog! May be it is a tad over exposed but that is a handsome beast. I'm trying to get my wife to upgrade to a Cannon xti. I think she is convinced now and she is shopping for the right price and place. I have some lens to a non-digital (remember those?) Cannon that are compatible with the Xti.

great pics! What camera is the lens on? I have that lens too and love it for its DOF and f/1.8=fast! Just upgraded my Canon 300D/Digital Rebel to a 30D myself.

Thanks Sparkie, I really appreciate that! For a stock truck, I think she's perfect! I don't want to modify her whatsoever as I bought her exactly the way I wanted.

The dog is a standard Poodle, such a great animal. Cannot wait until I have the space to have one myself. It belongs to one of my best friends, I was over at his house.

The camera is just a Canon Rebel XT. I picked it up for $482 brand new at Staples when they were on clearance. What a bargain!!!
