I recently bought a 2005 Corvette with the factory aluminum wheels. They are clear coated and there is a slight haze in some spots. Looks like oxidation. Can I polish these like the clear coat paint? Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks guys.

As I looked back at my car today while walking into work I couldn't help notice how amazing my clear coated rims looked. Cleaned them up with Duragloss 501 back in May and every few weeks apply either Opti-Seal or Zaino Z-CS.
I wouldn't be surprised if DG501 brought yours back to life.

Jmarra - did you ever get anything to work to take the "haze" out of the clearcoat on your rims?

Not yet. It's been covered for the last five months! I hate the midwest! Looks like I'll be giving it a shot someTime in April. If I can't get them looking good I'll have to go to chrome!

My wheels are clear coated on my pickup. When I first bought them I had them in my living room and used my drill w/ 4inch foam pad & adapter. Worked great took out my light scratches and haze but destroyed my pad lol.

I used a heavy cut polish with white light polishing pad.

If your wheel's are clear coated then yes you can polish them out like car paint, I did the same to my wheel's with meguiars m105, and m205 then placed chemical guys jet seal 109 on them brake dust hardly even stick to them, and weekly cleaning is hardly an task
