Hi all,

I just finished buffing and waxing my car. This is my first time so naturally you notice things that you never did before. I noticed that there are two "circles" that are only visible when in the intense sunlight. Under any other light it is impossible to tell. Trust me I looked hard! I was wondering if anyone knows if they are where someone did a touch up or what? I tried hitting it with compound again but no luck.

One circle is just under the right side window sprayer and the other (lighter) is to the right of the left windshield sprayer both on the hood.

Do you have any close ups? Kinda hard to tell from that picture.

The problem is that if you get close you can't see it. It is only specific angles. There is no difference in surface texture or look except is the sun light.

The circles just look lighter than the rest of it.

I was able to sort of get it here. You can see it to the left of the light.

The only other thing I can think of was maybe a spot where bird poop sat for a long time or something?

It could be a blended touch up spot I guess. It's really hard to tell on white. Maybe a wax with a darkening effect would help???????

This is what I thought it was at first but other than the very specific reflection tone difference there it is 100% consistent (tone and pearl effect). Usually it is much easier to tell!

Clear coat failure would be my guesse.

It's definitely not that -- if you saw it in person it would be obvious. I have seen what you are thinking of but this still have a DEEP gloss finish.

Ok I have added these photos to help point out what I am talking about. I am hoping someone can give some more insight in case this is something I am doing, I don't want to damage it more. Or if they can be repaired without new paint.
