Thanks guys!

Edit: Do the PC 7424 and Griots 6" have the same backing plate thread and all? I have a backing plate for my PC, maybe I can just use that?

Yes, 5/16" fine thread.

Make sure you always use a compression washer. I have articles on this in my article list too as well as cover this in my how-to book.

My favorite wax setup on my GG is the 4" Meg's pad with the recessed back for a 3" BP. It just fits inside the can of many paste waxes I use such as Collinite 476, FK1000 or Meg's M16. The quick reload of wax on the pad, combined with the maneuverability of the smaller, edge-cushioned pad around obstacles makes waxing a breeze. On a job that could use a little cleaning, I'll start with either Meg's D151 or DG 501/601 on a Meg's 4" yellow pad.
