I just bought an 07 ram and already remoed swirls w/ poorboys and my PC. I currently have it topped w/ ex-p and nattys blue which looks good but im looking for better. it just doesnt look wet or deep enough for me.
my question is which products will work best on a black metallic paint. i know souveran is the king for black but does it make the metallic flakes pop? how about ss2 or max wax. I don't mind spending the money on souveran if it is going to make my truck look awesome. i plan on waxing about once a month w/ liquid souveran spray in between or something else if it wont work on metallics. thanks

Souveran Paste does look great on black but I think Signiture Series would also look great on metallic black.

I agree with Gary, I've used Souveran on a few vehicles with flakes and the owners have complimented me on the flakes poping. Signiture Series II is all about the flakes, good stuff...I haven't tried it on a dark vehicle though. I have only used SSII on light vehicles (white and silver).

Um....so....where are the pictures of your new ride? :D

i have to get some better pics, just waiting on my foam cannon and water softening filter to arrive to really give it a good cleaning.

Natty's Blue and Souv both rock on black, but both on some of our vehicles muted flakes. Your better off using Sig Series 2 for a wet look and flake pop for example.

Hey Michael, nice job on the Ram! I know they can be quite the beast to detail.

I also polished my truck with SSR2.5 and SSR1 about a year ago and since have used anything from Zaino to Poorboys. I finally settled on just a nice layer of wax on it, Pete's '53. Love the way it looks.

I had the same with Natty's Blue. It's a great wax, but it didn't give me what I was looking for on my paint. I think I might save it for silvers, since it did a great job on an XC90 I did not too long ago.

MaxWax is the best on metallics, SSII is also really good. DP is my fav. on my metallic black.
