The owner told me it was never clayed. And never had a pro detail job

When I showed up, the windows were vented on the vette. And NO KEYS, so that meant no water washing. So I had to use OP ONR for this job.

The Wash
Optimum No Rinse. Two cap fulls in two gallons of water. MF towel was used. I then also clayed it after. The clay became nasty, went from blue to a dark gray. Windows were also clayed.

The Interior
PB apc/water mix was used to wiped down all the panels. They DP Interior Surface Protectant was used.( I like the smell of this stuff) Diamondite glass cleaner on windows.

Tires/rims
Also wiped down with ONR. Pinnacle Black Onyx on tires.

The gameplan
I chose to use the Menzerna Super Intense Polish(PO 83Q) for this one. And also the Menzerna Finishing Glaze(PO 115C) With the Edge2K green pad I went to town. I started with two dabs of SIP and two dabs of the glaze, on the same pad. This worked well for me. This took out all but the deep scratches. All the spiderwebbing was gone.
The final that was put on was the DP Premium Surface Shield Paint Sealant.

The Pictures do not come close, to seeing it in person.

Gorgeous work, these cars are too often neglected. Love that paint. All original?

Great work! Nice gloss to that paint! Guess you were working outdoors with PO83Q? Did you have problems with dusting? The reason I'm asking is, I'm torn between ordering SIP or XMT4. I heard that the Menzerna's dust quite a bit, outdoors. Also, XMT4 more cutting ability than SIP?
Love the hood shot on this pic

Looks very good..but why would you use the glaze with the polish..I believe by doing so it gave the polish a filling ability...so in reality what looks gone may be filled....the glaze has no abrasives or cleaners so did nothing but maybe add lube and fillers...just curious..

I used the glaze to help with the dusting issue. I did a IA wipe test and it didn't look to be any filling

Well glad it worked for you...if you have Opt polish...that works great..cuts the dust down 75% and adds lube also....better work time...just need a dab is all....the Vette looks real nice..nice job....

Very Nice! It looks like they need to pay you to do the engine too.

The vehicle looks good, interesting how you used the Menzerna Glaze. I like how the paint looks...nice and wet...but parked under a tree mmmm...I hope it sits inside a garage because it would be a shame to have it sit outside all the time.

Looks nice.

Thanks for sharing.

Looks like you did a really good job. Seems queer that someone would order a detail and then leave the car locked with the windows partially open. As Homer Simpson would say "Doooh!" Nice save on the rinseless wash!

nice as usual, but we should expect no less from you. As for the washless wash, lets just say it was a bit of a challenge and you succeeded where others may have failed.

Just curious, how did you get the hood open with no keys? Guess he came home later. Great work.

That car looks like it's brand new. I love the metallic in it and the MIP really does great work with older paint as I can tell. Awesome as always !

Beautiful Ed. You can tell how good it looks from the pics. That DP SSS is an unsung winner.
