Wow when did the rules price increase $40. When I bought mine earlier the 21 was $399 now other $449. Wow that's nuts good way to steer ppl away. $400 was high but $449 is worse. Glad I bought mine when I did or I would of kept the flex.

I have heard that the build quality has went down quite substantially. Was told this by someone who has owned an older of each and a newer of each.

I think he meant retail. This is the sale price I assume is reflected from the current buffer sale.

Older ? It was only at 2011 SEMA they were introduced and not imported till a little later. Can't be very old.

Yeah, I figured that, but I'm sure once the sale is over it will go back to $399. ;)

Whoever you buy from, check and see what their policy is should the machine need repairs

Makes me feel good about jumping on the 15% off no exclusions sale a cpl months back. Got mine for $340.

Are you talking about shipping costs for warranty repairs, or just the general ability to do repairs?
Here are the listed service centers, but these lists are often not kept up to date, and they may be limited in what they can repair/test:
Rupes Service Center Find other service centers (http://www.rupestool.com/p/us/en/centri_assistenza)
PS, I didn't realize Autogeek had a service center (for any brand, not just Rupes)

You will definitely feel better when it only costs the italian company $94 dollars to make the whole machine.
The price hasn't gone up at other sites that sell the Rupes!!
